About Stacey

Stacey Bayer (She/Her)

Welcome! I am so glad that you made it here.

Whether you are here to work through one specific challenge that is leaving you feeling conflicted or longer-term internal battles, I consider it an honor to walk alongside you in your journey.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master of Social Work degree from Washington University in St. Louis - Brown School of Social Work. I am a trained EMDR Therapist and specialize in helping people recover from eating disorders, body image issues, trauma, attachment disorders, anxiety and depression.

Throughout my career, I have served in a variety of roles, including working as part of a trauma team with youth and families in community mental healthcare, Primary Therapist at residential and day treatment (PHP/IOP), and Assistant Clinical Director at a local treatment center specializing in the treatment of eating disorders.

I utilize an eclectic approach and draw on a variety of theories and modalities in working with clients to best meet individual needs. I view therapy as a collaborative process where you are the leader of your treatment, as you are the expert of your own life. My therapeutic approach is rooted in compassion-focused, person-centered, and strengths-based perspectives. I firmly believe that each individual has the inner strength and power to heal fully, and my role is to help empower you in that process.

I utilize a Health at Every Size (HAES) framework, which embraces and values all bodies, viewing them as something to honor and respect. I aim to create a safe space for all, where everyone is welcome—no matter race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, or ability.

When I am not in sessions, you can find me exploring the outdoors with my two dogs, Athena and Gracie, caring for my plants, embarking on hiking and kayaking adventures, or volunteering with the wolves at a local sanctuary.
